The best time to schedule senior portraits is during the spring or early summer before senior year. This gives us time to plan outfits, locations and the overall look of the session without rushing. Fall dates are especially popular in Western Pennsylvania, so seniors who want fall color should book early.

How many outfit changes can I do for senior photos?

The number of outfit changes depends on the senior session you choose, the number of locations and how much variety you want. Some seniors prefer a few carefully planned looks, while others want several outfits that show different sides of their style, interests and personality. You can decide how many you want during your consultation.

Can I bring props to my senior photo session?

Yes. You can bring meaningful props to your senior photo session, including sports equipment, musical instruments, books, artwork, uniforms, cars or items connected to your hobbies.

What locations work best for senior portraits?

Sessions can include the studio, downtown areas, open fields, wooded locations, murals, sports locations or other meaningful spots around Mercer County and Western Pennsylvania. Destination options may also be available.

Should I get hair and makeup for senior photos?

Professional hair and makeup are not required, but some seniors enjoy including them as part of the experience. The goal is still to look like yourself, only polished and photo-ready. Choose whatever will help you feel comfortable, confident and excited when you arrive.

A friend may come along for support as long as they do not distract from your session. Some senior session options can include a dedicated best-friend shoot or activity date. We can discuss who should attend and whether you want any photos together during your planning consultation.
