I get to travel a lot. Some for fun and some for business. This time, I went all the way to Las Vegas to learn hands on from some of the industries leaders.
I started my trip at Pittsburgh airport and flew 4.5 hours across the county to Las Vegas in March. I was meeting three of my favorite leading photographers and 30 photographers. This was one of my most inspiring trips to date. I learned so much and found some new things I wanted to offer to you guys.
We started the week in Lake Mojave. That's where I met Racheal who is just the sweetest and most graceful girl. Her mom was there taking BTS photos and sent me a bunch. You might have seen them on my Insta stories. If not your missing out! Check out her dress! That dress really inspired me to start The Style Closet. I wanted you guys to have unique options to add to your own clothes. I can't wait to see how you guys use them!
Day Two we went to Nelson's Ghost Town which is FANTABULOUS! I really want to go back out there (hint hint I also want to offer destination senior session!!)
I worked with Rachael and Brennan this date. We found old cars, school buses and garages and shot a ton of stuff. I also learned out shooting this video. That still needs a bit of practice so if you ever see me looking for a model for a creative session, video might be included. Again, be following my Instagram to get info on that.
And then we went to a dry lake bed. This was fantastic because it was just wide open space and wind and magical. Now, if you know me at all, you know I LOVE my bike and I even got lucky enough to photograph a gorgeous young lady on one in that dry lake bed!
Thank you to Jenn Lewis, Dan McClanahan and Garron Cooper for sharing all your knowledge on all things lighting, location, posing, filming and styling!
Class of 2025, if you're ready to take your senior pictures to a whole new level, reach out!
